Eagle Lake RV Park is located on Eagle Lake in the beautiful pines of Spaulding on the Strand just north of Susanville, California.
As the second-largest natural lake in California, Eagle Lake offers pristine views beyond compare. Fed by underground springs and seasonal creeks, there are 100 miles of shoreline and 42 square miles of crystal clear waters. The lake's elevation of 5100 feet makes the nights comfortably cool with summertime temperatures ranging daily between 85-95 degrees.
Eagle Lake is an anglers dream with the lure of the trophy-sized world-famous "EAGLE LAKE TROUT," a subspecies of rainbow trout with a tenacious spirit. They can grow to 26 inches in length and up to 9 pounds.
Generations of fishing enthusiasts return to us year after year to enjoy the hospitality and convenience of the park. It's a perfect place to get away from it all without leaving the comforts of home behind.
Eagle Lake has plenty of room for water sports, including recreational watercraft of all kinds. The afternoon breezes are revered by those with sailboats and catamarans.
Hikers and Mountain Bikers will enjoy the 30 miles of trails at the nearby "Bizz Johnson National Recreation Trail" and the miles of back country roads and trails in Lassen National Forest.
You may prefer to experience nature on wheels —the Lassen National Forest and BLM lands nearby have miles of 4WD, OHV and ATV approved trails.
Birdwatchers and wildlife admirers will love Eagle Lake. Bald Eagles, Golden Eagles, Pelicans and Osprey are often seen soaring in the skies. It's common to see Canada Geese, Sandhill Cranes, Steller Jays, deer, squirrels and chipmunks, just to name a few.
